Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Completion of all types of work orders from residents. • Completion of all resident apartment turn over tasks. • Must be able available to complete “On-call” duties. • Some administrative duties may be included such as opening, tracking and closing work orders. • Conducting property inspections and/or participating on an inspection team. • Attending monthly safety meetings. • Complete preventative maintenance activities. • Full knowledge of property’s emergency procedures. • Maintain all records required by company policies and procedures, OSHA and EPA. • Perform all required duties in a professional and confidential manner. Maintenance technician positions require that an individual be able to lift moderate weights of between 30-60 lbs. on a regular basis and the ability to stand and/or walk all day. In addition, occasional heavy lifting may be required. Duties of this position may require strength and endurance in performing heavy manual labor. Alternating on-call shifts required. Must live within 30mins of Newport, RI for on-call. Valid driver’s license and own transportation required. $150 premium paid for all week’s that you are on-call, additionally you are paid a time and a half rate for any emergency calls plus travel time. Residential Position • Glass cutting, screening, and glass shop fabrication • glass installation in various window systems • Storm door, window installs • Shower enclosures install all types Preferred Qualifications • Training positions available, get paid to learn a trade! • Minimum 1 -2 years of work experience in the related construction field, preferred • High School diploma or GED • Maintain a valid driver's license • Experience in the construction industry is a plus • Knowledge of all OSHA construction job site requirements • Knowledgeable of all OSHA standards and requirements as related to our industry • OSHA 10 certified; OSHA 30 preferred • This role requires Heavy lifting, frequent standing, bending, reaching, climbing, working at heights, using hand tools, driving, unloading equipment, and handling glass with precision.
