Field Construction Technician (Underground Utilities Laborer) Location: Gooding, Idaho Pay Range: $19 – $27 per hour (DOE) Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Underground Utilities Laborer to join our construction team. This position supports projects focused on conduit and fiber installation. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities: • Assist with trenching operations, including saw cutting, plowing, and micro-trenching. • Install conduit and fiber into handholes and manholes. • Set and place handholes and manholes. • Safely and efficiently operate tools and light machinery. • Restore job sites and maintain clean, organized work areas. Requirements: • Minimum of 1 year of construction experience, preferably in underground utility installation or related fieldwork. • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. • Basic knowledge of underground utility systems and construction practices. • Ability to safely operate hand tools and light machinery (e.g., compactors, jackhammers). • Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math for recording measurements and following project plans. • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. • Flexibility to work in various locations, as job sites may change daily. • Willingness to work varying hours depending on job, location, and season.
