Job Title: Counter Sales Representative – Construction Materials Pay Range: $20-$25/hr Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative with a background in construction. This role will serve as the first point of contact for contractors, builders, and walk-in customers, assisting them with product selection, order processing, and general support. Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers at the sales counter, providing product information and recommendations tailored to construction needs Process orders accurately (in person, phone, and email) and coordinate with the warehouse team for fulfillment Prepare quotes, invoices, and sales tickets in the POS system Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, tools, and industry trends Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with cycle counts Build strong relationships with contractors and trade professionals to encourage repeat business Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty inquiries promptly and professionally Collaborate with outside sales and operations teams to meet customer needs Qualifications: Prior experience in construction, building materials, or related industry (required) Previous sales, counter, or customer service experience preferred Strong product knowledge of construction supplies (lumber, fasteners, tools, safety gear, etc.) Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in basic computer applications and POS systems Dependable, detail-oriented, and team player Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Comfortable working in a warehouse/yard environment as needed Why Join Us? We have an opening for a Tire Supplies SALES REPRESENTATIVE Full Time covering San Diego and Imperial County. You will be selling tire supplies which include wheel weights, valve stems, patches, hand and pneumatic tools, jacks, tire balancers, large equipment, and more. Your customers are businesses doing tire repair - such as tire shops, trucking, agriculture, utilities, transportation, construction, etc. You will be driving a supply truck that is 8 foot wide, 12 foot tall, 24 foot long. You will visit customers 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. You must have a good driving record, good credit, and good computer skills. Must live in the San Diego - Imperial County area. If you are an Experienced Tire Supply SALES REP, please submit your resume and pay requirements. If you will be training, it is a plus if you have worked in a tire shop, a tire supplies store, or other automotive business. It is a plus if you have sales experience. It is a plus if you speak Spanish. Your training pay is based on goals met per 8 hour work day with customers, 5 days a week, at $4,000 per month if goals are met.
