Location: Los Angeles, CA Reports To: Executive Chef & Facilities Director Schedule: Full-time, five days per week (flexibility required for on-call emergencies) Pay: $30–$40/hr DOE About Us We’re a vibrant restaurant group with multiple locations across L.A.- we take hospitality, food, drink, cleanliness, safety, and functionality seriously. We’re searching for a dedicated Maintenance & Facilities Technician to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. What You’ll Do Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all restaurant systems - plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, cooking equipment, lighting, carpentry, painting, drywall, and more. Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions (fryers, walk-ins, dispensers, chillers, glycol units, etc.) Respond promptly to urgent issues with minimal disruption - be the first responder Coordinate and oversee third party vendors (pest control, grease traps, gardeners, fire safety, etc.) Support digital systems like security cameras, POS hardware, and Wi-Fi/back-up installs Manage small to medium scale installation projects (fixtures, shelves, storage, furniture, ADA upgrades, etc.) Maintain and organize maintenance tools. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations Document completed work and escalate outstanding issues weekly Be on-call for emergencies during evenings/weekends What You’ll Bring 5+ years of multi-site commercial facilities maintenance experience (restaurant or retail preferred). Property management experience is preferred as well Strong practical skills in HVAC, refrigeration diagnostics, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, insulation Comfortable with power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other tools of the trade Valid CA driver’s license, reliable transportation, and maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law Strong organizational abilities, proactive planning, and attention to detail Excellent communication skills for vendor coordination and cross-team work Available for occasional weekend and emergency calls Preferred: EPA 608 (HVAC), OSHA 10/30, electrical certifications, HVAC or trade school credentials. Proficient in English and Spanish Physical Requirements Ability to move in and out of a variety of positions including but not limited to: sitting, standing for longer periods of time, walking, squatting, crouching, stair and ladder climbing, kneeling, crawling, overhead reaching, lifting, and carrying. Ability to push and pull objects up to 120lbs. Ability to lift below waist up to 70lbs and above waist up to 45 lbs. Ability to work in tight and confined spaces. At Fingers Crossed, you will have the opportunity to get your hands dirty and participate in the entire process of transforming grapes into wine. A typical workday includes equipment sanitation, grape sorting, fermentation, barrel prep, pump overs and punch downs.
