The fleet mechanic at JC Grounds Management is a dynamic role that requires a very broad base of technical knowledge. In this integral position, you will oversee the preventative maintenance and repair of our growing fleet of trucks and equipment. Responsibilities Performs inspections and preventative maintenance to all trucks, loaders, skid steers, plows, snow pushers, trailers, landscape equipment and small engine equipment. Work with field technicians and management to make sure all equipment is functioning properly and ready for use. Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles and equipment onsite and offsite. 100% participation during snow events, required overtime to be worked. Complete work orders with start and end times, also noting all parts and all work done on each part of equipment repaired. Keep garage, yard and facility organized and clean at all times. Provide training to technicians in the safe and proficient use of equipment. Qualifications Valid Driver's license and clean driving record. Hoisting license (Class 2A) or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire on date. 5 years prior experience in a commercial garage / shop environment. Basic computer skills. Ability to work independently. Compensation Hourly pay ranging from $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience. Hourly pay during active snow events ranging from $40.00-$50.00 per hour, based on experience. We specialize in the sale and rental of string instruments with a focus on violins, violas, cellos, and double basses.
