We are seeking a seasoned, bilingual candidate to join the NewPath Family. Responsibilities: • Create, maintain, and execute the project plan and schedule with the project team. • Coordination with Job Foreman for all concrete schedules/operations. • Daily communications/coordination with the Job Foreman and Project Management staff to ensure successful project communication and execution. • Extensive knowledge and understanding of sequencing of construction work. • Organizing and scheduling the field labor and ensuring that they are performing as required. • Organizing and scheduling concrete, material, and equipment for all projects. • Organizing and scheduling the field labor and ensuring that they are performing as required. • Coordinates with other subcontractors and ensures proper planning and work harmony. • Ensure that quality is preserved in the concrete construction process and that the budget is maintained with the quality and safety standards of NewPath Landscape • Thorough understanding of project documents, plans and specs, and special requirements or conditions of the job site. • Advise management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule conflicts/difficulties, and delays. • Anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties. • Responsible for job site safety and cleanliness, implementing, enforcing and effectively managing safety policy and procedures. • Supervise subcontractors to ensure that safety requirements are adequately met. • Ensure project materials and workmanship meet the project Quality Standards. • Maintain the project’s daily Job Logs/photos. • Monitor sub trade work to ensure the plans and specs requirements are met. • Manage subcontractors to ensure they maintain the project schedule. • Tracking and accurately capturing/reporting time for the field manpower they oversee. • Continuously monitor productivity and percentage completion, identifying problems and potential delays, and provide solutions to overcome delays or challenges. • Tracking and reporting extra work change orders. Job Specific Competencies/behaviors: Skills • Ability to plan ahead and schedule work activities. • Ability to read and thoroughly understand plans and construction documents. • Reliable and responsive with strong values and ethics. • Proactive, flexible, responsible and resourceful. • Must work well under pressure, be self-managed, motivated and able to work independently, • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees while inspiring respect and credibility. • Strong verbal and written communication, computer and decision making/problem solving skills. • Foster teamwork and collaboration. • Knowledge of project management software a plus. • Vast knowledge and experience of concrete construction. • Knowledge of scheduling concrete work activities and how they relate to other trades and scopes of work. • Safety Conscious and willing to implement the NewPath’s safety culture to our projects. • Has adequate level of Spanish speaking skills to communicate with the field labor. • Has good listening skills, builds strong relationships, is flexible/open-minded, negotiates effectively, solicits performance feedback and handles constructive criticism. Education/Experience/Attributes • 5 or more years experience in commercial concrete construction • Previous experience as a Concrete Superintendent is a must. • Ability to effectively supervise construction employees and to accomplish work within budget and schedule. • Able to maintain positive working relationships with all construction groups - management, owners, trades and subcontractors. • Able to balance and prioritize multiple deadlines. • Excellent communication skills. • A solid understanding of the company's Safety First philosophy and practice. • An above-average working knowledge of technology and related resources. • Very strong work ethic with the willingness to travel and/or relocate. • Travel could be up to 100% depending on project location. • Must be able to lift large objects that weigh at least 60 lbs. • Regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk to electrical shock. • Noise level is usually moderate to very loud. • Motivated, hardworking, team player. Types of projects include but are not limited to environmental remediation, demolition, excavation, dredging, utility work, landfill cap and closures. Charter is currently looking to fill an Equipment Operator position at multiple Massachusetts projects.
