Join the culinary team at the award-winning restaurant, Che Fico. Named one of Bon Appetit’s Best New Restaurants in the country, Che Fico features Italian cuisine using California’s local and seasonal ingredients, with a menu of handmade pasta, wood fired pizza, house-cured salumi, seasonal antipasti and wood-fire roasted meats and fish. We are looking for an experienced bread baker interested in becoming responsible for all types of Italian baking and dessert production. Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in high quality restaurants, and/or bakeries, and experience in a leadership position. You will learn how to make, and be responsible for all types of traditional and unconventional Italian pastries, breads, confections, and more. Experience with bread baking is crucial. Restaurant production is also highly preferred. Become part of shaping the direction of an evolving program! Candidates must have a great attitude, a good sense of humor, drive, dedication to their craft, and a true willingness to learn. We shop three times a week at local farmer's markets to create connections and strengthen existing ones in our effort to serve the best local products and a simple, yet refined manner.
