Job Overview CSMi manufactures and markets the HUMAC NORM System worldwide (www.humacnorm.com). We are seeking a skilled mechanical-electro assembler to join our production team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in manufacturing processes, with a focus on precision and quality. This role involves following printed method sheets to assemble mechanical and electrical components. The Mechanical Assembler will be utilizing hand tools and power tool. Responsibilities • Assemble mechanical and or electrical components according to printed assembly documentation. • Operate hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to complete assembly tasks. • Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with manufacturing standards. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly issues and improve processes. Key Job Responsibilities: • Batch mixing of none hazardous chemicals in the production of silicone polymers by utilizing standard operating procedures • Performing packaging functions of various products and containers utilizing scales and pump equipment as well as labeling • Must have sufficient dexterity and strength to operate process equipment such as valves, pumps, switches, etc. • Must be able to read and understand process batch sheets containing product process directions and safety precautions • Must be able to write legibly and record results accurately • Required to stand up to 90% of the working day with frequent walking, intermittent stopping, and bending while operating equipment, drumming, etc. • Must be able to tolerate periodic hot, inside working conditions or cold outside conditions • Equipment operations, drum tool, hand tool, hoist, pump, and scale operations • Receive, ship, store, and distribute raw materials, packaging, and finished goods • Safely stack drums in their designated area within the warehouse and manufacturing locations • Coordinate and prioritize several tasks at one time • Must be able to calculate various measurements using basic math skills • Maintain a clean work environment following 5S principals • Must be able to work an 4-5 hour shift. • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hats and respirator • Physical demands may include repetitive movements, handling and moving 55-gallon drums, lifting of 60 pounds, wearing a respirator, working in hot or cold environments; hearing protection may be required for certain tasks • Work safely when performing job responsibilities • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs • Must be able to read and understand customer orders, bill of ladings, and packing slips • Must be able to write legibly and record results accurately Cross training opportunity within company Job Qualifications: 1. Our normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm. You will be working our Fulfillment Team to ship out e-commerce and wholesale orders. You may occasionally assist other departments with prep work. We are seeking Production Associates/Assemblers for the remainder of the year. Our normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm and your hours will be 35-40 hours/week. Depending on mutual interest and business needs, this may convert to a full-time position in January. You will be working in our Production and Post-Production Team to prep, pour, clean, label, and pack our candles. The ideal teammate will have attention to small details and is able to perform repetitive tasks at an acceptable pace and maintain quality. The job is rewarding, but also requires a lot of manual labor, so these individuals should be able to stand on their feet 8 hours per day, lift 50 lb boxes throughout the day, and work with their hands.
