Drink Preparation and Service Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to drink recipes and customer preferences. Garnishing drinks to enhance presentation and flavor. Take beverage orders from patrons, process food orders, and coordinate with the wait staff to ensure smooth service. Create and suggest specials from the drink menu to boost sales and enhance the customer experience. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, ensuring all glassware is clean and ready for use. Customer Service and Interaction Greet guests with a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service throughout their experience. Ensure customers meet the legal drinking age by checking IDs before serving alcohol. Engage with customers to assess their preferences and recommend drinks, enhancing customer satisfaction. Handle complaints or issues promptly, maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor. Work closely with other team members, including the barback and wait staff, to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive teamwork dynamic. Bar Maintenance and Operations Maintain and manage bar inventory, restocking items as needed throughout the shift. Operate the POS (point-of-sale) system and cash register for processing payments quickly and accurately. Assist with opening and closing procedures, including completing inventory checks and cleaning tasks. Adhere to safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe work environment for both staff and patrons.

Plant People Northwest is a small, sustainable landscaping company. Our service area includes North Seattle, Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, and Magnolia. We seek an experienced gardener/ horticulture grad to join our year-round crew. We’re accepting applications for part time (minimum 3 days/week) and full time. Our schedule is from 8-4, Monday through Friday (no weekends). This is a year-round position. Your daily work will include weeding, mulching, planting, pruning, fertilizing and more. You’ll also assist on installation projects from time to time. We generally do not mow lawns, except as a special favor to a client. We maintain our gardens without the use of toxic chemicals, with a focus on soil health and "right plant, right place". We pride ourselves on skillful pruning and have attended many classes with Plant Amnesty. We use mainly hand tools and only electric power tools. Our design and project team installs plantings, patios, raised beds, microspray irrigation, and more. Basic Qualifications: • Work history showing 1+ years of professional gardening experience with a Western WA, horticulture-focused company, OR a hort degree/ certification (or both!) • A working knowledge of plant and weed ID, horticulture and pruning practices. • Enthusiasm, energy, and stamina. • A cooperative, helpful, positive personality. • Adaptability with challenges, setbacks, and changes of direction. • An intuitive knowledge of how to work briskly and "look busy". • A self-directed desire to learn and grow! • Have a clean driving record, a reliable vehicle for transportation to job sites, and a smartphone for accessing our calendar and other tools. Pay and Benefits: Starting pay is $22-24 DOE. If you have ample experience/credentials and leadership qualities, we will move you into crew leadership as quickly as possible, which would come with an additional raise. Our crew lead in training make $26 and our crew leads start at $27. The Maintenance Technician's primary role will be to support the Community Managers by ensuring site safety and completion of required property maintenance necessary to maintain excellent curb appeal and the overall appearance and quality of the properties on a scheduled basis.
