Data Annotation Contractor: Wire Tagging + QA for Field AI (Financial District)

We’re Treeswift (treeswift.com), an NYC-based startup building AI-powered systems for utility fieldwork. Treeswift is revolutionizing decision-making for critical energy infrastructure in the face of rising threats like severe storms and wildfires. In the U.S. alone, hundreds of thousands of miles of transmission lines and millions of miles of distribution lines need to be carefully monitored and maintained to reduce hazards. The largest of these hazards is interaction with vegetation that can cause outages or fires. With the rapid growth of renewable energy this infrastructure footprint is expected to more than double in the coming years creating more assets to defend than ever before. Treeswift’s mission is to deliver scalable technology to manage large-scale distributed infrastructure, starting with managing the risks posed by vegetation to power lines and extending to asset management, construction planning, and disaster recovery. We deliver transformative impact to our customers by innovating across the technical stack. LiDAR and imagery data is collected by sensor packs mounted on backpacks and vehicles that seamlessly integrate into customer operations. We then deploy AI to transform raw data into actionable analytics delivered to decision-makers in our software platform. After just a year and a half since our first utility pilot we are working with three of the five largest utilities in the United States and rapidly expanding our footprint across new customers and use cases. We’re hiring detail-oriented contractors to help us annotate and QA our data. You’ll be reviewing LiDAR and image datasets, flagging errors, tagging wires, and helping us ensure data quality for utility customers.
