Summary of Position: The Desktop Support Technician is part of a team responsible for providing technical support and deployment services to various clients for their project needs. Essential Functions: Deployments of new computer hardware or moves, and existing computer operating system upgrades Physical installs/placement of equipment, cabling, data backup, and transfer, imaging, basic configurations, standard application installs/setups, profile transfer, and preparation of old devices for disposal or re-deployment Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware Remote and basic desk-side technical support including remote control of end-users’ devices Troubleshooting and repairing desktop computers to ensure they interconnect seamlessly with multiple systems such as network drives, and all business productivity applications Working independently to troubleshoot all support requests and follow escalation policies Participating in testing, documentation, and implementation of assigned projects Short term projects may include: computer and/or server moves and deployments, computer arm installs, and other hardware deployments Some projects may involve travel to sites throughout the state, and/or nationwide Competencies: Organization Skills Teamwork Capacity Initiative Communication Proficiency Multi-tasking Resourcefulness Drives Results Plans and Prioritizes Decision Quality Self-Development Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Must be comfortable working in various working conditions including hospital, office, warehouse, and data center environments. Physical/Mental Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 50lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Take equipment on and off shelves repeatedly. Working around and under desks. Climb several flights of stairs. Must be able to walk frequently for extended periods of time. Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma 1 - 3 Years of Experience Qualifications: (We are willing to speak with people who are tech savvy without any professional experience) Prefer 1-3 years of Windows Desktop/Laptop support in a professional enterprise environment. Including: MS Office, and other software application setups, upgrades, and troubleshooting Install, upgrade and/or configure desktop computers primarily in a Windows operating system environment Experience with server moves/deployments, computer arms, computers on carts, and/or large computer moves is a plus Superior customer service skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Experience working in a hospital environment is desired AA degree in an IT-related field is strongly preferred. High school diploma is strongly preferred Ability/flexibility to commute/travel to various work locations throughout Seattle and the greater Puget Sound. Ability to travel nationwide is a plus An A+, MCP, and/or MCDST Certification desired (but not required) WORK SHIFTS: Work shifts will vary based on project needs. Typical projects are during daytime business hours, but at times depending on project needs work may be required outside of typical business hours (before or after typical business hours, on weekend, or during other times as needed) This position will require a detailed background check. POSITION SUMMARY: The Database Technician supports Tribal participation in major infrastructure projects by overseeing database management, project coordination, and financial tracking under the supervision of the Project Manager. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will: • Maintain GIS databases, environmental records, and regulatory documentation while ensuring the accuracy, security, and accessibility of project-related data. • Provide administrative support for final presentations and compiling and submitting reports to federal, state, and Tribal partners. • Track cultural resource impact assessments to support preservation efforts. • Work alongside the Project Manager to ensure alignment between field operations and administrative workflows. • Coordinate daily database operations with the Tribal Civil Engineer and Natural Resources Department Director. • Provide logistical support to engineering review teams, environmental monitors, and cultural resource specialists. • Assist in processing timesheets, staffing requests, and equipment mobilization as part of the Tribal team’s participation in the project. • Monitor funding allocations, ensuring Tribal participation remains cost-effective and compliant. • Prepare financial summaries and expenditure reports for leadership review. • Assist with grant administration, procurement approvals, and budget forecasting for preconstruction and construction phases. • Maintain contract agreements and financial records aligned with DOT & PF and Tribal financial requirements. • Ensure all regulatory filings, permits, and compliance documentation are properly maintained. • Assist Tribal Civil Engineer and Project Manager in reviewing engineering plans, geotechnical data, and cultural resource findings. • Contribute to weekly and bi-weekly Tribal team meetings, assisting in progress tracking and interagency coordination.
