ShareIMMEDIATE OPENING Personal Care Assistant needed for a woman in the Northampton area. She lives alone and needs help to remain independent and stay in her own home. This is a potential long-term part-time opportunity. Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, medication management, help with personal care, and companionship. There is heavy lifting involved. She can generally stand and pivot, but needs help - sometimes a lot, sometimes a little. She wakes up early and needs help getting up in the morning, so her day begins by 6 am. We have approximately 28 hours available between 2 pm and 9/10 pm 3 to 5 days a week. There is some flexibility. You must be willing to be scent-free and work some weekend hours. We have three wonderful women on our team and they're willing to be flexible regarding hours to bring in the right person. Once we find the right caregiver we'll make the hours work for everyone. The working environment is pleasant and comfortable, but it's not on a bus route so you need a reliable vehicle. Preference is for an experienced woman, but if you have the heart for this kind of work, you can learn the job. If you're interested, please respond by telling me about yourself and your experience.
