In a rural setting, though not far out of town, the house sits on 20 acres of forested property, with hiking trails and views down into the Jacoby Creek valley, warm summers, garden space, and plenty of wildlife, including a herd of deer that more or less live in the yard, rabbits, squirrels, the occasional bear, and countless quail and other birds. The house includes modern appliances in a big kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, wood stove plus propane heat, large living room and dining area, a garage, and plenty of storage. The house is rural, with no public transportation available, so a reliable vehicle is basically a must. The house is also more or less off grid with some utilities - we get water delivered by truck, use wood for a fair portion of our heat, and internet options are limited, though the current residents manage to work from home part time and attend remote classes without issue. Overall, it's a nice balance of modern comforts and rural charm, and it's an amazing place for someone who appreciates that. The house is shared with a working guy and gal in their forties who enjoy a friendly, relaxed roommate relationship. We enjoy quiet time in the house, chatting about life, watching the local wildlife, reading, watching movies, and sharing good food and a few drinks, but this is not a party house. Bathroom is shared with the female tenant. The room is available now, rent is $590 a month plus utilities, and the deposit is $925. Month to month agreement, but we'd really like to find someone who'd like to make this a long-term home. LGBTQ friendly, single occupancy only, and no pets.
