Key Responsibilities: Program, set up, and operate CNC routers for architectural millwork production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Read and interpret shop drawings, CAD files, and work orders to ensure precision and accuracy in output. Create, adjust, and optimize CNC software such as SAI EnRoute, AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, or Microvelum to maximize efficiency and minimize material waste. Perform machine setups including tool changes, calibration, and fixture adjustments. Detect issues in the creation process and find solutions to ensure the machinery creates components in line with design specifications. Conduct quality checks on finished components to ensure compliance with design specifications and tolerances. Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machinery to ensure continuous, safe operation. Assist in other workshop tasks as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Required: 3+ years of CNC operating/programming experience in a millwork or woodworking environment. Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery, and architectural millwork standards. Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files. Strong proficiency in CNC programming software (e.g., AlphaCAM, EnRoute, Microvellum, or similar). Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks. Commitment to shop safety standards and proper practices. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
