Description

Family Partnership Coordinator (Wasilla Early Head Start) – Plan, administer, coordinate, and provide family services to promote family partnerships through parent and community involvement, education, and family activities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate degree in Human Services, Early Childhood, or related field, Bachelor degree preferred. • High School Diploma or GED • Associate’s Degree in a Job Related Field (or equivalent) Required • Bachelor’s Degree in a Job Related Field (or equivalent) Preferred • Two Years of Experience in a Human Services or Head Start Setting • Experience Working with Families in a Supportive Role Including People of Diverse Cultures and Socio-Economic Backgrounds • Experience with Windows Computer Applications for Word Processing and Data Entry • Prior Supervisory Experience Preferred • Knowledge and Ability to Work with Families Using a Family Centered, Strength Based Approach • Knowledge of Community Resources and Linkages to Locate and Access Resources • Knowledge of Early Childhood Development • Skilled in Communicating with and Motivating People • Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles and Family Dynamics • Thorough Knowledge of Windows Application Software and Database Management • Ability to Work as a Team Member with Staff and Parents • Good Organizational Skills and Timely, Accurate Documentation • Ability to Work a Flexible Schedule • Computer Literacy Including Email, Internet Use, and Word Processing • Excellent Interpersonal Skills Including Communication, Listening, and Observation Skills with Sensitivity to Individual and Cultural Diversity • Ability to Work Cooperatively with Groups of Parents, Supporting Agencies, Staff Members, and Community EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Maintained Background Check Annual Physical/Health History CPR and First Aid Certification Food Worker Card Current Driver’s License and Auto Insurance GENERAL INFORMATION: Location: Wasilla Early Head Start Supervisor: Center Coordinator Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week), Full-Year (48 weeks/year) Salary: $26.80 - $41.49 per hour DOE/E (Credential or Degree) Plus Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision, Employee Assistance Program, Life Insurance, Professional Development Opportunities, Paid Personal, Wellness and Sick Leave, Holidays, Retirement Plan with Matching Contribution.
