In this position, you'll take the lead on the roof work for each installation. What You’ll Be Doing Read and interpret solar plan-sets Install solar systems on a variety of roof types Lead the roof layout and complete roof penetrations Ensure racking is level and properly grounded Bend and run conduit on rooftops Handle basic electrical tasks on the roof (home runs, jumper wires, etc.) Install tilt kits and solar modules Represent Simply Solar with professionalism and positivity Who Are You You’re a driven, hands-on professional with strong installation skills and a bit of electrical know-how. We're not looking for a brand-new greenhorn, and you don't need to be a journeyman electrician. We need someone in that sweet spot: you know your way around a roof, can bend conduit, and have been doing residential solar installs for at least 3 years. What you'll be doing: Working on residential rooftops all over San Francisco and the immediate area. Racking, running conduit, mounting panels, and doing clean work you can be proud of. Enjoying steady, full-time work (40+ hours/week is the norm) with a solid backlog of projects from Potrero Energy (https://potreroenergy.com/) What we need from you: 3+ years of hands-on solar installation experience. You know the process from start to finish. You MUST have your own reliable car to get to job sites. No exceptions! You live within a 60-minute commute of San Francisco (we start early, and nobody likes sitting on the Bay Bridge for an hour). A good attitude.
