This dual role requires someone who can seamlessly balance exceptional tableside service with expert wine knowledge. The ideal candidate will be able to provide warm and attentive service as a captain as well as knowledgeable and confident beverage recommendations as a sommelier.   Captain Duties: Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly service throughout the guest experience. Uphold service standards, timing, and presentation. Maintain poise under pressure Effectively manage multiple tables Sommelier Duties: Extensive knowledge of all wines by the glass, beverage pairings, low-proof cocktails, and zero-proof offerings, with the ability to guide guests' selections Knowledge of regions, producers, bottlings, and vintages represented on the list Receiving and stocking beverage orders Preparation & batching of low-proof and zero-proof beverages for service At Sorrel we strive to push the envelope when it comes to Northern California culinary excellence in a One Star Michelin setting.
