Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman – Residential + Light Commercial (DTLA) Full-Time | W-2 or 1099 | $35–$50/hr DOE We’re a growing general contracting company based in Los Angeles, currently managing three active projects: an ADU build, a commercial remodel, and a custom patio. We’re looking for a hands-on Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman to take charge of job sites, push production, and help us grow into a tight, high-quality crew. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead day-to-day construction tasks on-site (starting with foundation, framing, and rough carpentry) * Read and interpret plans, layouts, and details without supervision * Manage laborers or helpers and direct subs when needed * Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and material take-offs * Handle punch lists and client walkthroughs * Float between projects (ADU, patio, commercial T.I.) depending on phase QUALIFICATION: * 5+ years of carpentry experience, at least 2 years in a lead or foreman role * Strong skills in foundations, framing, siding, rough & finish carpentry * Able to work from plans and make layout decisions in the field * Basic understanding of plumbing/electrical sequencing (not required to self-perform) * Organized, communicative, and accountable * Comfortable running small crews or working solo as needed * Clean DMV + reliable truck preferred COMPENSATION & DETAILS: * Pay: $35–$50/hr depending on experience * Schedule: Full-time, typically Monday–Friday * Employment Type: 1099 or W-2 (depending on candidate fit) START DATE: ASAP — we're starting on a commercial remodel and continuing an ADU this month LOCATION: Greater Los Angeles area — projects currently in DTLA and Torrance.
