We are looking for Doña Ana County residents to participate in an online focus group from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, OCTOBER 16. Compensation for participation will be $250 (paid by PayPal or Venmo at the conclusion of the event). This focus group is scheduled to take place over ZOOM. Ready to help shape the future of technology? This short but impactful 1-hour study aims to improve human movement recognition via artificial intelligence technology. Project Overview For this study, we are seeking participants from all demographic backgrounds! Individuals aged 13 and older will be video recorded while performing basic movements, walking up and down stairs both indoors and outdoors, and engaging in activities such as walking around a residential home. Research is being conducted in the San Jose, CA metro area. 13-17-year-olds need a legal guardian to register, provide consent, and need to be accompanied for the session Basic Requirements - Reside in the United States. - 13+ years of age. - Basic English Proficiency. - Be able to commute to the project location. - Perform simple user action tasks as instructed by our moderator team, such as walking in and out of a doorway onsite. - Participants will be video-recorded while performing the task. - Participants might be required to wear accessories, such as, glasses, jewelry, or hats. TELUS Digital will contact selected participants to book an appointment. Please note: Individuals who use mobility aids or supports are welcome to participate. However, participants must be able to walk, navigate stairs, and generally move around independently. Additionally, participants need to be comfortable being present in a low-light or dark room environment.
