Seeking a resonant roommate for October 1st, (sublet optional). The second room is open in my peaceful Queer rental, about 8 blocks from Ashby BART in N. Oakland. The place is a very cozy ramshackle, attic apartment. It needs some care but it’s cute and a great location. There is room to garden in the front yard where I have some medicinal plants started. The room is 11 X 13 ft, the rent is $750 this includes bills and home supplies. It gets good light, has a gas heater but no closet access at this time. I’m asking for a $750 deposit to secure the spot and cover any damages. You: I want to find someone whose energy and lifestyle aligns rather feel restricted for affordable rent. Looking for healing vibes along with the basics of keeping a clean home, pay rent reliably and take care of their physical and metal wellbeing. Me: I am genderqueer, an artist, witch and healer living with disabilities. I frequently meditate, love to create in the kitchen or the craft studio. The other resident is an elder cat named Windelo. He’s a lover but doesn’t get along with other animals in his old age. Considerations: * My home/kitchen is vegetarian/vegan. No meat/fish in the home please. * In addition to mobility issues, I suffer from MCS/ multiple chemical sensitivity or Environmental Illnesses. Nearly all fragrances make me very ill from days to weeks. Any potential roomie has to be very low to no-scent and open to ongoing adaptation. Some essential oils and burning smudge has been fine. Incense is not. * I’m open to other healers, or part time out-of-towners that need a city spot. We can talk about what would work best in this case.
