Furnished (or unfurnished) large room w/ private half bath, available May 1st in 3 bedroom Brooklyn apartment! Earlier move in possible. I am looking for a short term or long term roommate who is socially conscious and friendly. I am a PhD candidate at the New School and I also teach at several universities around the city. Our second roommate works in the non-profit/philanthropy world. It would be great to find a roommate with common interests, but above all, I'm looking for someone who is pleasant to live with, considerate, and who keeps common areas clean. Amenities include in unit washer and dryer, high speed internet, dishwasher, and a backyard. There are several grocery stores within walking distance as well as the Sunset Park farmers market every Saturday. There are also several amazing specialty food options... favorites include the Japanese Market at Japanese Village, Sahadi's at Industry City, and the numerous Mexican markets that serve the community. Located near the 36th st. D,N,R stop, the commute to downtown Manhattan is just 30 mins. The Barclays Center, Ft. Greene, Whole Foods, Atlantic Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music, and connection to the 2,3,4,5,B,Q, and LIRR are all one stop away. Prospect Park and Greenwood Cemetery are also close by. Travel often? Uber to JFK in 30 mins.
