Position Summary: Samsung SDS plays a leading role in the global logistics market with unique logistics services. The Logistic Innovation Project Specialist plays a critical role in leading strategic projects that enhance warehouse and transportation operations through WMS (Warehouse Management System) and TMS (Transportation Management System) integration and optimization. This position serves as a bridge between IT and operations, ensuring that logistics systems support agile, scalable, and cost-effective operations. The consultant will manage cross-functional initiatives, align stakeholders, and execute system-driven innovations that drive productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Customer Logistics Proposal & Solution Design Act as the primary logistics solution architect for customer RFQs, RFPs, and new business opportunities, translating client requirements into customized warehouse and transportation solutions. Conduct in-depth analysis of customer supply chain needs, product types, volume flows, service level expectations, and operational constraints. Develop and present optimal logistics models including WMS/TMS configuration, warehouse layout, labor planning, transportation routing, and system automation strategies. Build cost models to estimate warehousing, transportation, and technology costs; collaborate with finance and pricing teams to ensure profitability and competitiveness. Validate operational viability through simulations, SOP drafts, facility walk-throughs, and coordination with site managers and engineers. Create detailed proposal decks, solution overviews, process flowcharts, and customer-specific performance metrics (KPI/SLAs) for presentation to internal leadership and external clients. Collaborate with sales, engineering, operations, IT, and executive teams to align on project scope, implementation timelines, and resource planning. Participate in customer meetings and workshops to explain proposed solutions, collect feedback, and iterate designs to align with customer expectations and compliance standards. Research industry trends and best practices to propose innovative logistics technologies (e.g., automation, AI-driven routing, real-time visibility platforms) that strengthen Samsung SDS’s value proposition. Support smooth hand-off to implementation teams by documenting project scope, assumptions, risks, and system configuration requirements for execution. 2. System Management & Optimization: Lead the end-to-end implementation, configuration, and rollout of WMS and TMS platforms across warehouse and transportation sites. Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and patches in coordination with the IT team, ensuring stability, functionality, and data integrity. Customize system parameters and rules to align with operational workflows and business goals. Conduct pilot tests, root cause analysis, and regression testing prior to system-wide deployments. 3. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement  Analyze current operational processes (receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, inventory control) and identify bottlenecks or gaps. Initiate and manage continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing costs, increasing throughput, and minimizing errors. Collaborate with operations teams to define KPIs and ensure systems are tracking critical metrics in real time. Provide technical input to improve automation, resource allocation, and visibility across the supply chain. 4. Data Analytics & System Reporting Monitor WMS/TMS data flows to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of inventory and shipment data. Create customized dashboards, reports, and audit trails for internal teams and external clients. Leverage data analytics to forecast demand, support load planning, and provide actionable insights for business decisions. 5. Training, Documentation & User Enablement Develop, update, and standardize SOPs, training manuals, and knowledge bases related to WMS/TMS use. Deliver formal training sessions and hands-on support for system users across warehouse, transportation, and support teams. Provide tier-1 and tier-2 support for user-reported system issues and escalate complex problems to IT or software vendors as needed. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Act as liaison between logistics operations, IT developers, business analysts, and external vendors. Participate in customer onboarding projects, tailoring WMS/TMS settings to meet client-specific logistics requirements. Lead regular project reviews, system health checks, and improvement meetings with internal stakeholders and client teams. Requirements 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring or operating WMS/TMS in logistics or distribution settings. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, supply chain workflows, and transportation planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for analysis and presentation. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve system and process-related problems. Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and project coordination skills. Able to manage multiple timelines and adapt quickly to evolving business priorities. Willingness to travel up to 25% within the U.S. Preferred Skills: Experience with CAD, SketchUp, or other warehouse design tools. Advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data modeling) and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of EDI/API integrations between logistics systems and ERP platforms. Familiarity with industry-leading platforms such as Manhattan Associates, SAP EWM, Oracle WMS, or Cello.
