Job description: Overview The Part-Time Creative Director provides hands-on leadership for SJBC’s marketing, communications, and Sunday service production. This role blends strategic thinking with creative execution, ensuring that all internal and external messaging reflects the mission of the church and engages both members and the wider community. The Creative Director also oversees the production elements of worship services and special projects. Key Responsibilities: Marketing & Communications •Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all platforms. •Write and edit content for weekly church announcements, digital newsletters, website updates, and social media. •Design or coordinate graphics and promotional materials for church events and ministry efforts. •Plan and manage the church’s communications calendar in alignment with ministry initiatives. Sunday & Special Service Production •Oversee the planning and execution of Sunday worship production, including audio, visual, livestream, and visual media. •Collaborate with pastors, worship leaders, and tech volunteers to create cohesive and engaging worship experiences. •Provide leadership and support for production needs during special services, church events, and seasonal campaigns. Creative Leadership •Manage or support a team of volunteers and freelancers for photography, video, design, or communications tasks. •Ensure creative projects are completed on time and within budget. •Bring fresh ideas and creative direction to ministry storytelling, digital engagement, and community outreach. Qualifications: •Committed Christian who aligns with SJBC’s mission, values, and worship culture. •3+ years of experience in creative direction, marketing, or church production. •Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), social media tools, and worship tech (ProPresenter, livestream platforms, etc.). •Strong communication, time management, and project coordination skills. •Experience leading or working closely with volunteers and cross-functional teams.
