Gaslamp Law Group, PC is a Beverly Hills-based law firm specializing in California lemon law. We represent clients across the state who have purchased defective vehicles that qualify as lemons. We are seeking a detail-oriented Case Manager / Legal Assistant to join our dynamic case management team. The Case Manger position is a full-time position with the responsibility of managing tasks and activities as assigned and required by managing attorney and paralegal. This position and its related functions require interaction with many aspects of the firm. The overall effectiveness of the person in this role understands the importance of facilitating all content that flows between the firm's staff, clients, and opposing counsel. Consistently showing responsibility for matters that have been delegated until completed is essential to achieve the desired results in this role. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and support all legal efforts, including being responsible for all e-filings across all counties in California (pleadings, case management statements, notices of settlements, etc.) Act as the point of contact for the Client, Paralegal and lead Attorney Maintain the highest level of professionalism and customer service As necessary reach out to client from time to time to update them on the progress of their case Review repair histories and understand how impacts merits of case Work closely with the attorney and paralegal to help answer concerns and questions including non-standard case matters Maintain data accuracy on Filevine Calculate Buy back settlements Collect and interpret required financial documents Present settlements and Settlement Agreements Provide translations to attorneys if applicable Respond and reach out to clients using all methods of communication supported by the firm (email, phone, and SMS/text message, Filevine, etc.) Prioritize workload based on business objectives, established goals and best practices Facilitate the pre-lit process and demand letters and be the head of all e-filings. Qualifications: Communication and people skills Extremely sharp attention to detail (an absolute must) Ability to participate as a productive member of the team Good computer knowledge and skills Proficient typing ability while handling phone calls and speaking to potential clients Excellent telephone communication skills, including the ability to articulate professional responses, strong listening skills, de-escalation of problem calls, all while maintaining professional phone etiquette 1-3 years of case management experience within Lemon Law Must have the ability to be empathetic, persuasive with a high degree of emotional intelligence Must be an Independent and critical thinker, eager to identify and find creative solutions to client or business issues Team-oriented with ability to work well with others in a collaborative, professional work environment Proficient with Microsoft Office platform and applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Filevine) Ability to handle and maintain multiple client relationships at once, and to understand where they stand in the lifecycle of a case Spanish and English fluency are a must Benefits: 401(k) Opportunities for Growth and Advancement and periodic performance bonuses Pay: $25-35/hr + periodic performance bonuses Gaslamp Law Group, PC is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
