This role supports our performing arts programs and ensures smooth operations within our department. Key responsibilities include: Managing scheduling Departmental correspondence Maintaining organized records Planning and executing rehearsals, performances, and workshops as needed. Serve as a liaison among staff and students Assist in creating and developing performing arts projects Track program budgets and expenditures, Provide support during rehearsals, performances, and off campus events. Jammerz responsibilities: help kids come together with music to form their own band and prepare for performances. Teach every kid their instruments (guitar, bass, piano, vocals, drums)/ parts for songs, help them learn to play in rhythm and play together as a group. Come up with appropriate repertoire for each performance based on skill level and theme. Audition students regularly. Main Objectives: Teaching skills to help kids become more knowledgeable and confident in their performing arts and musical abilities. Essential Functions: Support rehearsals, Assist girls in preparing for music and dance performances. Our Mission: We believe in the potential of young women and the ability to restore choice. Work environment: Mostly inside the Academic building however, it is a ranch type environment including animals, experiencing varied weather conditions at times such as wind, rain, snow, ice, extreme heat or cold. Grounds consist of rocks, uneven grounds, cement, grass, dirt, and mud. Extremely noisy at times inside and outside of buildings. Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and talk. This position frequently requires walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, sitting, lifting, reaching over your head. Employee will need to be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision clarity (100 yards), color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The temperature is regulated comfortably for a school setting. Requirements Basic knowledge of guitars including tuning and restringing guitars Basic understanding of piano, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, drums, and ukulele Basic understanding of how to set up and use amps, and microphones. The General Education Assistant Program Director supports the Program Director in the leadership, coordination, and continuous improvement of the university’s general education curriculum.
