The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex financial information and cash flow of existing and potential borrowing clients for purposes of approving or denying a loan request, and presenting information in comprehensive documents with relevant financial data and narrative. The incumbent is expected to act in a professional manner and within the accepted standards and practices of the industry.The first two weeks of this position will be in Indianapolis, IN.The position includes a salary of up to $70K and an excellent benefits package.Credit Analyst - ICRE responsibilities include Analyze the financial condition and cash flow of borrowers; analysis to include identification of trends in financial ratios, analysis of balance sheet and income statement changes and trends, guarantor analysis, and collateral analysis Convert financial statements into a common-size spreadsheet utilizing financial spreading software Conduct in in-depth review of rent rolls, leases, income statements, CoStar, appraisal reports, guarantor financials, global cash flow statements, and other financial information to determine, independently that the borrower can generate income and cash flow sufficient to repay existing and proposed debts Present findings in comprehensive credit approval documents that outline the loan request and the financial condition of the borrower, including relevant financial data and narrative Communicate with lenders and/or borrowers to obtain necessary information regarding the borrower Assist lenders with structuring/underwriting loans Assist Credit Operations Specialist as needed with updating borrower financial statement requirements and covenant requirements in tracking software Assist Credit Underwriting Associates as they prepare financial statement spreads on behalf of the Credit Officer and under their supervision Perform quality control review of imaged documents Who Are You?You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but merely the starting point for your future.You also bring the following skills and experience: College degree in accounting, finance, economics or business; a minimum of 6 hours of college-level accounting coursework required, including intermediate financial accounting Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in credit analysis at a bank with assets of $1 billion or more; experience analyzing complex investment CRE borrowers with deal and/or relationship size between $2 million and $20 million; demonstrated skills in areas such as rent rolls, leases, cash flow, market analysis, and guarantor global cash flow analysis for commercial real estate loans Exceptional ability to analyze and interpret all types of financial statements, formulate conclusions, and present findings in a narrative credit analysis memo Experience analyzing borrowing base certificates and underlying assets comprising the certificate to determine if the borrower is in compliance Demonstrated ability to create, interpret, and test borrower loan covenants Proven verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information about a borrower’s financial status in commonly understood terms Demonstrated ability to think critically, make well-reasoned assumptions and solve problems Experience with and strong working knowledge of standard computer applications, especially Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple lender requests, organizing and prioritizing tasks as appropriate; ability to work independently and meet deadlines The next step is yours. Commercial Loan Processor responsibilities include: Processing commercial loan requests for both new and renewal loans using prescribed procedures and software. Making an initial review of the loan approval (Profile), using information available on the loan processing software system and credit file, obtaining required information for underwriting, and preparing loan closing documents. Preparing all necessary loan documents including Promissory Notes, Business Loan Agreements, Construction Loan Agreement, Disbursement Request and Authorization, Resolutions, and Loan Checklists using information from the loan application, profile, and title policy. Confirming loan approval authority as defined by bank policy; review and obtain an understanding of the loan transaction from the Loan Profile. Determining that initial underwriting documentation is present according to the approval document. Renewal loan processing includes entering the loan into loan software and working with the servicing loan officer to move the approved credit to close. Communicating results of documentation review and any processing issues to the loan officer on a timely basis. Balancing transactions and preparing all general ledger tickets and cashier’s checks for disbursement. Preparing wire forms, wire tickets, and authorizing wires for loan proceeds.
