Currently, are seeking a qualified Millwright / Maintenance Technician to work collaboratively with our Burlington sawmill in Mt. Vernon, Washington. About the Position Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock or fabricate replacement parts as needed Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices Effectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift, and welding truck Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times Qualifications 2 years recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs Working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects Industrial mill maintenance experience is a plus Why Join Our Team? Fire Extinguisher / Hood System Suppression Technician We are looking to add to our Hood Suppression and Fire Extinguisher team. We provide fire and safety equipment service to commercial businesses in the Puget Sound Region. Responsibilities will include servicing and repair of existing Restaurant Hood Systems and Fire Extinguisher maintenance and certification per requirements. We highly desire you have certifications from hood system training centers or manufacturers certifications. We have most certs and are willing to invest in someone who wants a long term career. Please do not apply if you have no experience in this field of work. Full-time M-F with occasional hours on weekdays and sometimes will require early morning starts. Out-of-town travel is possible on certain occasions. Carpenter/Deck Builder Wanted Local construction company looking for qualified and experienced Carpenters to join our team. We primarily build outdoor living spaces including open and covered decks, railings. The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, with a minimum of 3 years experience in framing, installation of wood and composite decking materials, some concrete finishing, and other specialties.
