Field Support Technician – Multi-Family Renovations (santa clara)

Position: Field Support Technician / General Laborer Location: Bay Area (multi-family renovation projects) Employment Type: 1099 Subcontractor / Hourly About the Role Baywire Electric is seeking a reliable and skilled handyman or jack of all trades to support multi-family renovation projects. This position is ideal for someone who has a variety of trade skills and can handle day-to-day repair and renovation tasks with minimal supervision. You’ll be working closely with our team to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to code. Responsibilities: • Perform general repair and remodel tasks in occupied and vacant units • Handle minor carpentry and basic repair tasks • Assist electricians with light demolition, fixture installations, and finish work • Perform demolition work as needed • Safely operate hand and power tools • Maintain a clean and organized job site • Follow instructions from project leads and adapt to changing priorities • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or extensive knowledge in general construction • Strong knowledge of basic rehab projects • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders • Reliable transportation and basic tool set • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and honesty • Ability to work independently or as part of a team • Must have a valid ID and legal authorization to work in the U.S. • All applicants must pass a background check Preferred: • Experience in apartment or multi-family remodels, or apartment maintenance • Familiarity with framing, drywall, electrical, and plumbing • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Compensation: • Competitive hourly rate: $25–$35/hr DOE • Paid bi-weekly as 1099 subcontractor • Opportunities for long-term work on multiple projects How to Apply Please reply with your name, phone number, work history, and references.
