(KAR Productions) Location: Touring – Based in Orange County, CA Job Type: Full-Time / Seasonal (January – July 2026) Start Date: January 2026 ⸻ About Us KAR Productions is one of the nation’s leading live event production companies, producing over 200 dance competitions and conventions annually across the U.S. We specialize in creating high-impact, high-energy stage experiences for performers and audiences alike — combining world-class production, LED video, lighting, and sound design with a family-oriented touring culture built on teamwork, passion, and creativity. ⸻ Position: Touring Production Manager We are seeking a skilled production professional with expertise in lighting, LED video, and live sound to lead our national tour. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced touring environments, leads with confidence and precision, and ensures every event runs seamlessly from load-in to final curtain call. ⸻ Key Responsibilities • Oversee setup and strike of 72’ x 36’ performance stage • Manage all lighting, video, and audio production elements • Operate or supervise operation of: • Avolites lighting console • Resolume Arena for LED video wall • JBL sound system via Mackie board • Coordinate load-ins, cue calling, and live show adjustments • Maintain high standards for safety, signal flow, and timing • Communicate daily with Tour Operations, Event Directors, and Venue contacts • Ensure smooth execution of all technical elements under tight timelines ⸻ Tour Commitment • Must be available for weekend travel January–July 2026 • Accommodations and travel provided by national production team • Load-in typically Thursday, with show days Friday–Sunday ⸻ What We’re Looking For • Proven experience in live event or touring production (theater, dance, concerts) • Strong working knowledge of DMX, signal flow, and LED wall control • Leadership experience managing crews and solving problems under pressure • Physically capable of lifting equipment and working long days • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills ⸻ Bonus Skills • Prior touring experience in dance or competitive events • Knowledge of power distribution and stage rigging • Familiarity with LED wall pixel mapping and show calling ⸻ Our Core Values At KAR Productions, we don’t just run events — we create experiences.
