Part-Time Weekend Shop Vehicle Technician Laborer (Fort Collins)

Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and mechanically-inclined Shop Laborer to perform essential weekend maintenance on our company vehicle fleet. This part-time weekend position is ideal for someone looking to supplement their income while working with vehicles in a well-equipped maintenance facility. Schedule • Days: Saturdays OR Sundays • Hours: Variable Part-Time (8-16 hours) • Location: High Country Pipe, Fort Collins, CO Key Responsibilities Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection • Perform routine preventive maintenance on company vehicles (trucks) • Conduct basic vehicle inspections and safety checks • Change oil, filters, and other fluids as scheduled • Check and maintain tire pressure, rotate tires when needed • Inspect belts, hoses, and fluid levels • Perform basic brake inspections and adjustments • Clean and detail vehicles as needed Shop Operations • Maintain organized and clean work environment • Properly store tools and equipment after use • Document all maintenance activities and service records • Report any major mechanical issues or safety concerns to management • Follow all safety protocols and procedures Additional Duties • Perform minor repairs as needed and within skill level • Assist with preparation of vehicles for DOT inspections Required Qualifications Experience & Skills • 1+ years of automotive or fleet maintenance experience preferred • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills • Ability to use common hand tools and shop equipment • Knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical) • Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various positions Personal Qualities • Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset • Reliable and punctual attendance • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Good communication skills for reporting and documentation • Valid driver's license with clean driving record What We Offer • Competitive hourly wage: $21-28/hour • Flexible weekend-only schedule Physical Requirements • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods • Comfortable working in shop environment with varying temperatures • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds • Ability to work in cramped spaces under vehicles Language: English (Required), Spanish (Preferred) Ability to Work IN PERSON in Fort Collins, CO with reliable transportation
