The Commercial Project Manager is responsible for managing small-scale commercial construction projects, including renovations, retrofits, and upgrades to existing facilities. This role is ideal for experienced construction professionals seeking to advance toward a Project Manager position. Annual Salary: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00, depending on experience. This salary range reflects a scale from a competent early-career project specialist to a highly experienced, leadership-level project manager who adds strategic value to the organization. Key duties include developing scopes of work, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids, and overseeing project execution through completion. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, strategic planning capabilities, and effective leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Requirements Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial reconstruction projects (materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors). Review architectural and engineering drawings to determine scope and requirements. Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Develop budgets and proposals for clients and internal stakeholders. Analyze historical data and market trends to improve accuracy of estimates. Value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to closeout. Develop project schedules, timelines, and milestones. Manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and quality execution. Monitor project budgets and control costs throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards. Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders regularly. Skills & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.). Experience with project management tools (e.g., Procore, BuilderTrend, Fieldwire, etc.). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and/or project management. We have an immediate opening to join our team supporting our Patient Nutrition Management System called HealthTouch. HealthTouch is used in over 500 hospital diet offices throughout the US. HealthTouch is used to order, document, track, and manage the food ordering and production of all patients’ meals. All meal orders are entered in to the HealthTouch system and because HealthTouch is interfaced with the facilities ADT and OE system, HealthTouch is automatically updated whenever a new patient is admitted, discharged, or transferred within the facility. Patient’s dietary orders are also interface to allow the system to filter out the food items that are not permitted. Tray tracking, nutritional analysis, and order history are standard processes within HealthTouch. Some of the services we provide to our customers are; Travel on site to install and configure systems. Travel to a site to provide operations training. Provide training via phone and web based conferencing. Provide comprehensive phone support with our web based remote access solution or via VPN. Advanced hardware configuration and replacement. The ideal candidate would have; The ability to work independently. Great verbal and written skills. An above average knowledge of all Windows OS’s, including server. Very skilled in using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook. Ability to multitask, to work under pressure, to meet deadlines, and manage projects. Some travel is involved, and a neat and authoritative presences is required. Travel is approximately one week per month. Knowledge of a hospitals diet office procedures and/or HL7 language is a BIG plus. The Construction Engineer manages, evaluates and assesses information necessary to construct the project on time, within budget and to the quality specified by the contract documents. The Engineer is the individual on the project responsible for building the overall project “on paper”. Engineers work under the leadership of Project Managers. Acts as liaison with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors and other partners in resolving issues related to plans and specifications. Oversee and make decisions related to contract drawings and subcontract information. Ensure that all drawings and specifications properly relate to the estimate. Manage submittals and shop drawings. Assess conformance to contract specifications and resolve any conflicts in interpretation. Negotiate and request change orders. Manage information related to changes in the work, prepare an independent analysis, obtain and check estimates for the changes from subcontractor; resolve any conflicts. Overseeing the close-out process. Preparing final records for the project such as Requests for Information (RFI’s), close-out records, warranties, as-builts, Operations and Maintenance manuals (O&Ms), and evaluating information to insure compliance with contract documents. Prepare Scope of Work documents for trades and develop reports related to all aspects of the project. Schedule and attend relevant meetings, such as subcontractor trade coordination meetings, preconstruction meetings, submittal review, etc. Requirements 1+ years commercial construction experience, ideally as an Intern, Field Engineer, Foreman or a similar position. Familiarity with construction management and office productivity software, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Procore, or other web-based or mobile document and project management solutions. Experience with construction projects, mechanical/electrical systems, building materials, building mechanics, or working with craft workers is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Previous work experience preferred – ideally in commercial construction or with estimating and managing self-performed work activities and subcontracted work. Strong problem solving, prioritization and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Proficient with office productivity software, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, or other project management solutions. Possess a valid Driver’s license in order to travel to assigned jobsites.
