I want to practice my Spanish at least 2 or 3 times each month, and I'm not looking for a teacher or grammar expert. I want to speak with a typical native person. An ordinary worker. They don't even need to speak English. I suggest we take a walk in my St Roch neighborhood or have coffee just to chat and talk so I can improve my Spanish fluency. I know it's not much, but could this be something during times when you're free? It doesn't matter to me if you have your green card, only that you come from a Spanish-speaking country. The superintendent will provide job site coordination and supervision in all phases of construction projects, including coordinating with subcontractors, materials, and equipment. Ensuring that specifications are being followed per construction drawings, and work is proceeding on schedule. Qualifications/Responsibilities: - Daily on-site supervision of construction sites as well as any tasks related to the job site as needed. - The superintendent will be responsible for scheduling inspections, overseeing quality control, and job site safety. - Gather project submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job site. - The superintendent is responsible for supervising all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors daily at the job site. - Oversee construction trade workers and subcontractors. - Ensure work is being completed safely and efficiently. - Communicate and report effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other support staff. - Create daily reports regarding all construction activities at the job site. - Ability to work well with minimal supervision - Reliable transportation to and from project job sites. - Proficient in written and verbal communication skills in English. The studio stays busy with custom projects for interior designers and one-of-a-kind pieces that lean a little artistic. About the Studio: I’ve been working in high-end custom soft goods for residential interiors in San Francisco for over 13 years, including the last three running my own small business. We fabricate: • Drapery • Roman shades • Cushions and pillows • Installation and hardware sourcing Although I currently offer full-service fabrication for design firms, I may soon pivot to narrow my focus toward more one-of-a-kind artistic pieces and a small line of my own soft-goods products. I’ll need help with both the fabrication and shipping of those items as that side of the business develops. I value a calm, respectful workspace where ideas and good craftsmanship matter.
