Description

As an Individual Focus Direct Support Professionals (DSP-IF), you will provide specialized supports designed to meet the unique needs of someone with intellectual and developmental disabilities in need of transitional supports. You will assist in the development of support plans, implementing those plans, and working with other team members to ensure their success. Your day will include helping someone achieve their dreams, fostering relationships with a person's family and friends, going out and having fun, meal planning and prep, and personal health and hygiene routines! DSPs on the Individual Focus team are committed to building strong partnerships with families and recognize the “team” is everyone who loves and supports the person, not just those at PCL. You will help someone learn through life’s great, fun, and challenging experiences and experience life to the fullest! Position Type: Full-Time Swing and Weekend Shifts Available! •Swing Shift: Monday - Friday, 3pm - 10pm. •Weekend Shift: Saturday - Sunday 8am - 10pm, Tuesday 1pm - 3pm. •Team Meeting: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 1pm - 3pm. •30 hours and above are considered full time. Wage & Benefits: $21.00 per hour •We are also offering a $1,000 sign on bonus that is paid out in increments at set milestones of your employment! •We offer Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Supplemental Insurance and FSA for full-time employees, 401(K), Gym discounts and reimbursements, and other lifestyle discounts available to all employees. Qualifications: • This position requires a valid driver's license. • Must be at least 18 years of age when starting employment. • Must have basic computer skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interpret various instructions. • Must be able to read, write, and speak English (reasonable accommodation may be made for some positions). Job Duties: • Various positions may involve distributing medications, cooking, house cleaning, yard maintenance, handling challenging behaviors, and intimate care. • Provide a stable living environment by respecting dignity, individual choice, input, and health and safety needs. • Participate in an on-call rotation for their assigned area. On a regular rotation, this position is on-call for their assigned area for 7 consecutive days in each rotation. Certifications and Training: • Must pass required DHS background check and Protective Service Investigations. • Complete and maintain all certifications as required by the position, PCL, and other governing agencies such as CPR, OIS (Oregon Intervention System), and Mandatory Abuse Reporting. • New hire orientation and on-site training must be completed within 60 days of hire. This includes leashing and walking/moving 30 large dogs (100+ lbs). Training will be provided.
