Responsibilities Ability to perform structural design calculations (beam design, reinforced concrete and steel structures design and analysis), sketches, computer modeling, and similar technical work as required Assist in the preparation of bridge design documents, including AutoCAD & MicroStation plans and quantity estimates Ability to participate in site visits and perform bridge inspections and load ratings on local agency structures Requirements BS or MS in Civil or Structural Engineering with zero to two years of relevant experience EIT certification or the ability to obtain an EIT certification within one year Experience with analytical software such as SAP, CSI Bridge, LARSA 4D, etc. Experience with CAD software such as Microstation or AutoCAD Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly motivated and responsible individual with a strong work ethic Benefits We offer a professional work environment, a competitive salary, a benefits package, and 401(k). Responsibilities Regularly market services to current and prospective clients to assist in the creation of letters of response and technical proposals/presentations. Responsible for all common PM duties – scoping and fee negotiations, scheduling, budget tracking and responses to ERC comments. Provide assistance with coordinating and resolving technical issues. Mentoring and development of younger staff. Oversee engineering designs, assist in planning and developing engineering projects and coordinate project concepts. Oversee the creation of engineering documents including typical section packages, pavement design reports, and variation/exception reports. This position will provide traffic engineering capabilities in support of our Southern District operations, with potential for additional responsibilities in our growing southern regions including North Carolina, Louisiana, and Texas. The successful candidate will provide traffic signal design, traffic analysis, signing and pavement marking design, and assist with design efforts for the Transportation group.
