Bay Crossings in San Francisco is seeking someone to work part time at our Ferry Building location. We are hiring someone part time to work Saturdays (9:30am - 5:15pm) and some occasional Sundays (9:45am - 4:15pm) Bay Crossings operates as part in-person Clipper Customer Services provider, transit information/sales, and retail store. We are seeking an upbeat, punctual, friendly, reliable, dedicated employee who can handle a high volume of customers and calm the occasional upset one. The position requires extensive customer service to sell merchandise and answer public transportation questions. Having a general understanding of the Bay Area public transit system would be very helpful, but we will teach you what you do not know. Cash handling experience is preferred. We are a locally owned small business looking to add to our team of Shipping Clerks and Specialists Are you up to the challenge? Positions are available for both Full Time (35-40 hours/week) and Part Time (20-30 hours/week) at one of our San Francisco locations. We prefer that candidates have some retail/sales experience, and familiarity with pc computers in general. We like to say that something new walks in the door everyday, so there is always something new to learn. From packaging and shipping, sorting mail, scanning mail, and logging in packages, there are many skills that you will use. We can always train you in the skills if you have the right attitude. We offer detailed training, but we also need self-starters who will continue to learn and grow their own skills even after that initial training period. All team members alternate tasks, moving from project to project and of course cleaning, upkeep and stocking throughout. Naturally, the ability to multitask is a great asset. We offer Notary services which requires passing a background check as well as testing/licensing.
