Dodge RAM Custom B-250 "PROSPECTOR" 3/4 ton CAMPER-VAN. (sold by "Bay City Vans" in San Francisco, CA.) Now has a Price Drop!! This vehicle always starts, runs Quiet, never overheats and has the strong and reliable 318 V-8 engine. Body is in VG condition w no rust. Heater works, AC needs re-charged. It has cruise-control (but i never tried using it.) This Van was repaired by an expert mechanic who installed many NEW parts: all Brakes and Struts/Shocks, an O2 Sensor, complete engine Tune Up, clean Oil and Filter, a Rt. side door handle, a Timing Chain and PCV, Battery, new Muffler and Exhaust Pipe, Belts and Hoses and a locking Gas Cap. Motor and Transmission Mount bolts were tightened and suspension lubed w new Zerts. Had a complete Transmission Tune-Up, so it shifts smoothly and passing-gear works fine. The Horn, Rear Lights and Turn Signals all work (Hi-Beams switch is under the floor mat.) Van has 2 new Wipers, electric windows, a panoramic RV Mirror, lg. outside door mirrors, 2 comfy, swiveling Captain's Chairs w arm rests, a lighted Glove Box, 3 lower cabinets and 1 upper one, a built-in vertical shelf, original shag carpeting, shirt-hangers, a short bed-platform and drapery hangers. Has a Fridge and Sink (never used). No heavy stove to waste gas (just buy a simple electric-skillet or a Solar Oven to cook with.) Van has 6 doors, a gold ladder, roof-racks, a mounted spare tire, a Running Board on the rt. side, an El. Brakes Socket, a Hitch and 4 Yokohama tires in VGC. Has a new Upper Right Ball Joint plus a Fr. End Alignment. Speedometer works and Odometer reads 51,000. miles (see photo.) Van runs great on 90 Octane gas plus an anti-ethanol additive. OR, better yet, use straight 90 Octane NO-Ethanol Gas, which is sold at 2 SFe gas stations. (A station in Taos sells no-ethanol gas also, but theirs is only 86 octane; so mix it 50/50 w 90 Octane Premium gas.) Like most all olde vehicles, the van smokes so i use st. 30 Wt. oil in warm weather and high-mileage 10W-30 in cold. Van only needs: a new Headlight Switch (included), 2 New Door Locks (included), tape small crack in the plastic W. Fluid container and adjust the Gearshift lever.. Buy the Shop/Technical Manual and learn how to do simple repairs yourself. The original vintage radio was stolen and the windshield has a crack (both courtesy of local vandals.) "Goldie" is livable as-is, or add a Solar Panel, a deep-cycle Marine Battery and Invertor. Sell the sink and fridge, then you'd have space for a desk/table, more shelving and a fold-down bed. For finishing-touches, tint the windows, add a cool exterior Sun Visor and a sound system. **Is there a Church or social-service group wanting to help a sober/drug-free Veteran needing a Van to live in??** 2 yrs. ago this exact-same Van (in almost perfect condition) sold for $17,000. NO 1/2 down or other schemes accepted! But i'd consider a PARTIAL-Trade for a 1988 to 1996 Corolla, OR a 1999 Subaru Impreza. (prefer a Sta. Wagon or Hatchback. And a Manual Tranny and dents and/or a non-running vehicle are all Ok.) Price has dropped to $3500. Selling Van bc bad knees make camping too hard now. Thank you!
