This is done through effective documentation, planning, and communication. SUBCONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT - Use your relationships, knowledge, and (as needed) contractual knowledge, to assure all contractors and suppliers are meeting the schedule, quality, and safety requirements to complete the project. This includes knowledge of their scope of work and continuous assessments of their progress and performance. PLANNING & FORESIGHT - How well can you avoid bottlenecks of manpower, coordination, material, or equipment. Use look ahead schedules and thorough documentation to assure you are prepared ahead of time as each task arises. OWNER RELATIONSHIPS - How well do you communicate progress, expectations, and needs to the owner to assure they are in the loop and also feel engaged in the project to maintain their comfort. We rely heavily on repeat clients to maintain our work and you are the frontline for making sure the experience they have on our projects is a good one. Communication and follow through are key.
