Early Education Instructor (Bellevue)
Position Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals to join our team as Instructors at our robotics lab designed for children aged 4-14 years. In this role, you will inspire young learners aged 4 - 8 years by teaching foundational robotics and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) concepts through hands-on activities, games, and experiments. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys working with young children, and is eager to foster curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
This position offers competitive hourly pay, from $22 to $28 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
No robotics or STEAM teaching experience is required â we provide full training and support on our curriculum, tools, and classroom setup. If you love working with children and want to inspire them to learn through play, weâd love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Delivery (60%)
Lead engaging and age-appropriate robotics and STEAM classes for children ages 4-8.
Follow the provided curriculum while incorporating creativity and flexibility to adapt to childrenâs learning needs and interests.
Use interactive methods, storytelling, and hands-on activities to teach key concepts in robotics and STEAM.
Encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills in a fun and safe environment.
Classroom Management (30%)
Create a positive and welcoming classroom atmosphere where children feel supported and excited to learn.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities and while using robotics equipment.
Manage small groups of children, providing individualized attention as needed.
Program Support and Communication (10%)
Collaborate with other team members to prepare materials, set up activities, and maintain an organized learning space.
Communicate with parents about their childâs progress, milestones, and areas of improvement.
Provide feedback to the management team about the curriculum and suggest improvements or new ideas.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
o Associateâs or Bachelorâs degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field preferred.
o Relevant certifications in teaching disciplines are a plus.
Experience:
o Prior experience teaching, tutoring, or working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
o Familiarity with robotics, coding, or STEAM education for young children is a plus but NOT required (training provided).
Skills and Attributes:
o Passionate about teaching and working with young children.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
o Creative, patient, and adaptable to different learning styles.
o Energetic and enthusiastic, with a talent for engaging young minds.
o Comfortable using and troubleshooting basic robotics tools and equipment (training provided).
Working Conditions:
Schedule: Flexible schedule with availability to work afternoons, weekends, and during school holidays as needed.
Environment: Interactive and fast-paced learning environment focused on hands-on STEAM education for young children.
Physical Requirements: Ability to set up and move light robotics equipment and supplies as needed.
