Opportunity to join our Driver Care Team to safely drive elderly passengers in a mini-van sized vehicle to and from appointments, activities, etc. on-time, while paying attention to riders’ health, and maintaining a clean vehicle. Regular, California class C license in good standing required. Job Duties & Requirements: - Arrive each day well rested, clean, on time, and with a positive professional attitude. - Safely drive passengers to destinations while obeying traffic laws and safety procedures. - Reliable and trustworthy. - Be courteous, helpful, observant, and kind to all passengers and facility staff you encounter. - Great time management and able to read a map/smartphone directions. - Own smartphone, and able to use work app. - Communicate effectively with passengers, clients, manager, etc. as needed. - Strong enough to push a 150lb+ person in a wheelchair up ramps, able to lift 50 lbs. - Agile enough to bend down and maneuver around seats. - Dress appropriately and be well groomed and hygienic. - When necessary, wear mask and gloves and use sanitizer in accordance with guidelines. - Pass background check, drug test(s), physical, trainings, and drivers license in good standing. - Truly care about others' well-being. Hours: - Part time to Full time / Split Shift. Monday – Friday. Since 1990, the Coloma Outdoor Discovery School (CODS) has been inspiring students with engaging outdoor education programs. Our program invites students to enjoy a 1 to 3-day adventure exploring California Gold Rush history. We’re excited to be hiring for our Fall 2025 season (October – December)! We have both full-time and part-time positions available, with opportunities during the day and evening. Responsibilities: Educating, supervising, and empowering students. Initiate learning in many formats: at meals, in the field, on the trail, and in large (75+) or small (12-16 students) groups. Continuous personal development of teaching skills and background knowledge of subject areas. Promote positive communication among staff, students, teachers, and chaperones. Model environmentally sustainable behavior and ethics. Regularly manage teaching supplies and equipment. Collaborate with staff and organization leaders to continually upgrade academic and logistical aspects of the program. Qualifications: Ability to conduct skits, songs, and/or stories in front of large groups of children & adults. Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with others. Experience working with people and an enjoyment of all kinds of people, especially children aged 9-11. Excellent communication skills. Love working outdoors – rain or shine. Creative, fun, and energetic! Physically fit- able to stand and walk/ hike for an 8-hour shift. Preferred- BA or BS in the field of education, science, history, or related experience.
