Core Responsibilities:. Diagnose vehicle issues accurately using diagnostic tools and test drives. Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems. Conduct routine maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, fluid checks, etc.). Perform safety inspections and ensure vehicles meet Autos of Chicago quality standards. Recondition pre-owned inventory to retail-ready condition. Shop & Equipment Maintenance Keep work area clean, organized, and safe at all times. Properly use and maintain dealership tools and diagnostic equipment. Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately. Teamwork & Development Work closely with service advisors, parts department, and other technicians. Assist with training junior technicians or apprentices as needed. Stay current with ongoing training, certifications, and updated repair techniques.

Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition. Complete all required documentation, including work orders and reports. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction. Qualifications: Proven experience as a garage door installer, in a commercial setting. Strong mechanical and technical skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
