Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead our team and support the continued growth of our club.
The AGM works directly with the General Manager and ownership to oversee operations, drive membership sales, and uphold a culture of professionalism and excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone passionate about fitness, service, and building strong community relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Member Services
Supervise and train front desk and member services staff.
Ensure smooth, efficient, and professional member interactions.
Handle member concerns with empathy and prompt resolution.
Maintain a consistently welcoming and high-energy environment.
Sales & Membership Growth
Develop and execute strategies for membership acquisition and retention.
Achieve and exceed monthly sales and performance goals.
Track membership data and implement improvements based on trends.
Foster partnerships and community outreach to increase visibility and brand recognition.
Operations Management
Support scheduling, billing, and facility maintenance operations.
Monitor club appearance, safety, and cleanliness standards.
Assist with financial tracking and daily reporting.
Ensure company policies and operational procedures are consistently followed.
Staff Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, and motivate team members across departments.
Lead by exampleâprofessional, reliable, and solution-oriented.
Provide coaching and accountability to support staff success.
Act as the General Manager when needed to ensure smooth operations.
Marketing & Community Engagement
Contribute to digital and local marketing initiatives.
Plan and support special events, promotions, and member engagement activities.
Represent the club professionally in community partnerships and outreach.
Qualifications
Bachelorâs degree in business administration, sports management, kinesiology, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in health club, hospitality, or customer service management.
Proven record of growing membership and revenue in a fitness or service environment.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred.
Certifications in personal training or related disciplines a plus.
Skilled in staff management, sales, and operational execution.
Proficient with management software and reporting tools.
