Ryatt Pit is looking for a skilled heavy equipment operator who has significant experience operating dozers and related equipment. They are responsible for safely and efficiently operating dozers, often performing tasks like grading, backfilling, and earthmoving. Key Responsibilities of an Experienced Dozer Operator: Safe and Efficient Operation: Operating the dozer according to safety protocols and industry best practices. Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine inspections and reporting any defects or needed repairs. Jobsite Knowledge: Understanding job site conditions and adapting dozer operation accordingly. Precision Work: Operating dozers with accuracy and precision, often using GPS controls for tasks like finish grading. Versatile Skills: May be required to operate other heavy equipment like excavators or loaders, depending on the specific role. Experience and Skills: Years of Experience: No less then 5 verifiable years of Pit/ Landfill experience. Specific Equipment Experience: Familiarity with specific types of dozers (like D6/D8) and related equipment is often a plus. Safety Knowledge: A strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures for heavy equipment operation. GPS and Other Technology: Proficiency with GPS systems and other technology used in modern dozer operation. Work Environment Able to work in all weather conditions. The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be loud but is typically moderate.
