Blew & Associates, P.A. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist civil engineers in planning, designing, and managing civil engineering projects. You will help prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring all activities comply with engineering principles and applicable codes. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and drafting of civil site layout and land development projects, including stormwater management, utility layout, and grading plans. Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, designs, and specifications using Civil3D & CAD software. Collaborate with engineers to analyze project requirements and develop feasible designs. Review project specifications and design calculations to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards. Maintain accurate project documentation and reports. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges. Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices. Experience with surveying equipment and techniques is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with colleagues and clients. Prior experience as a civil engineering technician is preferred. Willingness to learn and grow in the field of civil design. We are looking for a Licensed Civil Engineer to join our fast-growing Engineering team. You will be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that the projects involve. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. You will be responsible for overseeing and mentoring a civil design team. You will work together as a unit while also collaborating and working with other Project Engineers. Responsibilities Manage and develop complete sets of development projects involving grading, drainage, water retention, retaining walls, sewer/ waste water, road/ transportation, site layout, and utilities on site design projects. Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned engineering projects. Evaluate surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and the best approach for developing and completing projects on time and on budget. Complete drainage calculations for storm sewer design, hydraulic systems, detention ponds, and water quality measures. Lead a design team in correcting redlines and plan revisions. Research and review ordinances, technical reports, municipal, state, and federal codes to ensure compliance. Communicate with city, county, and state entities to ensure all requirements are met. Collaborate with project coordinators, other project engineers, and design staff to provide status updates, discuss challenges, and address plan revisions. Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications. Interact daily with the Project Coordinators to make sure projects are on track and clients are being communicated with well about the status of their project. Interact with the clients when needed to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field. Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status. Assign responsibilities, mentor the project team, and liaise with a variety of stakeholders. Manage, design, develop, create, and maintain small-scale to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner. Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other). Assess potential risks, materials, and costs. Attend planning meetings as needed. We are seeking an individual to perform architectural as-built field verification services at commercial spaces in Modesto, CA. In our process, we perform a 3DVR scan to generate a point cloud, which we use to create as-built drawings in Revit. We need a local field tech to provide interior confirming measurements and exterior elevation sketches.
