We are seeking YOU to join us for a one time project! Get to know GRIP, our transformative program, and make a difference. We seek someone with strong design skills with a storytelling sensibility for a booklet that will go out to donors and stakeholders in our program. The booklet is intended to look like a magazine, but smaller (5 1/2 X 8 1/4"), about 20 pages. * Do you have the ability to create visual layouts that honor the voice and integrity of contributors—especially stories rooted in trauma, transformation, and justice? * Are you familiar with principles of restorative justice, trauma-informed storytelling, and systems of oppression (e.g. prison-industrial complex). If not, we can orient you. * Do you have lived experience or demonstrated solidarity with communities impacted by incarceration, marginalization, or systemic harm? This helps, but is not necessary. We'd still like to hear from you. Editorial Collaboration Experience * Comfortable working with editors and other staff * Ability to receive and incorporate feedback * Familiarity with designing around varied content formats—poetry, prose, images, quotes, data, pull-outs, etc. * Technical Skills & Production Knowledge * Understanding of layout, color theory, typography, and print production specs (bleeds, resolution, etc.) * Creative Vision and Alignment with Brand * Ability to capture the heart of GRIP’s mission visually and develop an aesthetic that reflects transformation, humanity, and hope * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), or equivalent tools WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU TODAY! Thank you!
