We currently have an open room available now/ASAP, for female identifying persons in a vegetarian & vegan 3 bedroom/2bath house in North Berkeley. Here’s more about the specifics— About the Room Month-to-month lease. Largest room 15 X 12 ft which gets lots of natural light facing east with Sunrises (and Moonrises). Has a good sized walk-in-closet. This room is a little more secluded from the rest of the house (is on its own level). Can come with some furnishings upon request, but by default is an empty room ready for someone to move-in to. You will be sharing your bathroom with one other female. Move in Cost: One month’s rent $1487 + deposit $1487 = $2974. A Bit About This Homely Abode: • The house opens into a beautiful foyer which currently has a piano. • Modern kitchen with all the appliances necessary including a dishwasher. • Washer and dryer on site. • Garage available for additional storage. • The garden in the backyard gets plenty of sun, and lots of native flowers blooming! • Walking distance to North Berkeley BART (15 mins) and other public transit options. • Within biking or walking distance to Whole Foods, Berkeley Natural Groceries, Monterey Market, Solano Avenue, REI, Walgreens, and tons of restaurants, parks and community gardens and nurseries. A Bit About Us: T - loves to forage, tinker with herbs and delicious produce, loves flower walks with her sweet small dog (who is very serious about cuddling), enjoys a quiet evening at home reading or a fun karaoke night out, (sometimes) plays the sitar, works as a nonprofit researcher. D, master tenant, vegan, works from home as a web + graphic designer. Has a cute, 2 year-old tuxedo boy cat. Other interests include playing music, cooking, painting, hiking, yoga. A Few Things About the Overall Feel of the House: • We are two hardworking (33/36 y.o.), respectful women. We tend to keep the space clean/tidy and communicate in a kind, open and assertive way with one another. • Tend to be quiet on weeknight evenings. • No substance use in the house. * No pets. While we adore furry creatures of all types, we are maxed out with living with T’s one dog and D’s one cat already. Though during the temporary sublet for Room #2, from August 9th through October 31st, the cat would be absent from the property. We are Seeking Someone Who: • Has good boundaries and practices clear compassionate communication. • Is looking for a stable home. • Values keeping things in common spaces clean and tidy. • Is mindful about work hours, closing doors peacefully, nighttime noisiness, wearing soft slippers around the house… :) • Ideally it would be great to share the space with someone that also values creating a sanctuary like feel to the house, and has an embodiment or spiritual practice. We pay pg&e, water and internet bills separately divided by each of us. (Subtenant can ignore this as the move-in cost includes utilities as previously stated).
