Found dog: shepherd husky mix approx. 2 yo healthy - UPDATE - with OAS (oakland east)

UPDATE: We surrendered the dog to Oakland Animal Services on August 9th, 2025. His number is 80479 if you want to meet him for foster or adoption. Please see the photo of the animal control record. At approximately 6:15 am on August 7th 2025, my dog and I came upon this young healthy shepherd husky mix near the corner of Selkirk and 39th Ave in the Redwood Heights neighborhood of Oakland. He ran toward us and at first I chased him off, because I wasn't sure of his temperament. Eventually we couldn't really shake him and he seemed to just want to be in a pack. The dog has a good disposition and is quite smart but lacks training and structure. We can't take him - he needs to find his current human or someone that can adopt him. Please contact us ASAP!
