💩Our Summer pool season is still a splashing good time and we'd like YOU to be our next Lifeguard! Join the Coppola Team at our iconic pool deck, keeping guests safely having fun in the ☀ the remainder of the 2025 Season! 🛟 Weekend shifts available, offering 24-40 hours per week with flexibility. Coppola Pool days of operation are Thursday - Monday. Under general supervision, the Lifeguard provides oversight of the pool and park area for the overall protection and the safety of guests both in and around the water. The Lifeguard has a professional obligation to prevent potential accidents by enforcing the rules and regulations of an aquatic setting and to react to any emergencies that occur. HOW TO APPLY: Please complete an application via our Career portal - https://careers.delicato.com/job-invite/5940/ WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS (Essential Duties) -Ensures and maintains safety, order and cleanliness in and around pool area and of all guests in and around pool area -Maintains an environment that is both safe and pleasant for pool patrons and surrounding guests -Ensures the deck and park areas of the pool are patrolled as required -Prevents accidents in and around the pool -Responds to guest needs, emergency or otherwise with care -Performs appropriate water rescues as needed -Provides first aid within the scope of care to all individuals on premises -Speaks professionally and effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization -Communicates and makes team aware of guests who are at risk: weak swimmers, breaking rules or overly intoxicated, to Management Team as needed -Performs pool maintenance as needed -Enforces pool rules and facility regulations -Completes an incident investigation report as necessary -Prepares the pool area for opening and closing -Ensures safe occupancy levels are always maintained in the pool -Attends in-service training sessions as well as any others deemed necessary by the company -Wears approved uniform and any necessary job-related safety equipment during assigned shift or anytime while on duty -Greets guests promptly and warmly answering questions about the winery -Creates a memorable experience for all guests who enter the property -Responds to guest inquiries and concerns promptly and with courtesy -Assists with movement of deck furniture and event supplies -Performs other duties that may be assigned by Management REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: -High School diploma or GED equivalent -6+ months prior lifeguarding experience -16 years of age or older (must have written consent and other requirements if under 18)   Certificates and Licenses: -Lifeguarding and First Aid (ARC, YMCA or Ellis & Associates) -CPR (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) - we will cover the cost for your CPR certification First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22 or State Emergency Medical Technician) WSI (Water Safety Instructor) Desired TIPS Certification or Certified within 90 days of employment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -Must be able to remain calm and rational in emergencies -Must exhibit excellent communication skills, analytical skills and problem-solving ability -Able to lift and drag up to 150 pounds unassisted -Able to tread water without using hands or arms for a period of two-minutes Working Conditions: -General Pool environment with no travel -Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to the elements/temperature variations -Exposure to weather-related temperature & humidity extremes -Required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) -Exposure to varying levels of dust, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noisy equipment -Uniformed position with required bathing suit OUR WORK STANDARDS: -Acts in a manner reflective of the Company culture of High Moral Standards, Innovation and Continuous Evolution, Trust in Team, -Continuous Improvement, and Sustainable Relationships -Communicates, interacts, and works effectively with others; receptive to feedback and coaching; voices concerns in a constructive manner -Demonstrates commitment to safety first; communicates safety concerns; promotes a safe work environment based on established safety standards and training -Follows all Company policies and procedures -Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time California Pay Transparency Disclaimer:This is a Non-Exempt position. But as it is, these hours are pretty much set and available for you going forward! If you would like to pay weekly for this opportunity to build your own business, It would be $190 per week. If you would like to pay monthly, it is $690 for access to the massage studio for 128 hours each month, the hours listed above. I have a Earthlite leather massage table that you can use as well. It is already set up in the studio space. I also have a bluetooth speaker you are welcome to use, as well as sliding stool and electric candles/salt lamp. I am also open to massage trades if you like :) You will supply your own lotion, tools, and sheets. If you are interested in a sheet service, I can add you to my sheet service and you would just pay extra for that. It’s an excellent service and the sheets are always crisp and you never have to wash linens :) Desert Sage Wellness Center is the place that you will be in. They have lovely aesthetic vibe unlike most studio shared spaces. crystals, beautiful native inspired and India themed wall art, decor, plants etc. Everyone is like a community here
 there are acupuncturists, herbal medicine, massage therapists, and organic esthetics as well as counselors. There is a beautiful meditation room to take your clients to after their session. You can offer them reverse osmosis water from the kitchen, and there is fridge/freezer where you can even make it ice water. The thing I really love is the waiting room...it is super peaceful with exotic plants, calming music and plenty of seating. The ambience is zen. Your clients come in through the front door and there is plenty of seating and a sign that lets them know to wait for their therapist. Its a very impressive entrance/waiting room, and there is a separate entrance from the back that you can use. There is also a beautiful kitchen/break room that you can chill at and have your lunch/snacks. There is a fridge, microwave and freezer, tea kettle and lots of tea to choose from. The room is big enough to maneuver around comfortably, and is set up with pictures on the wall (tasteful art of green leaves - Japanese style painting, modern eclectic vibe, and a picture of a flower that is artfully done. I have it set up with 2 cabinets, some shelving, and a salt lamp with small electric candles and a colored aromatherapy diffuser. The room is cozy and aesthetically pleasing... perfect to start your healing practice in. There is a strong healing vibe here, which is going to complement any massage therapist committed to holistic healing. I am looking for unique, kind, compassionate and motivated healers who are licensed massage therapists. You will meet with our owner who is also an acupuncturist, after meeting with me. If you pass both interviews then you are ready to begin! A $50 deposit is required. Must be a Licensed Massage Therapist.
