I am a textiles artist, primarily creating knitted fabrics on a manual knitting machine using wool and cotton. During university, I collaborated with friends on furniture, and I am looking for people in the Bay Area to collaborate with now. My art style typically has a softer palette and features organic shapes, but I am open to working with artists/designers that have any style–just as long as their work has a distinct and meaningful voice. Ideally, we'd have a back and forth conversation through the material and the work would take shape through an evolving process. I think my textiles lend themselves best to lamps or a nonfunctional sculptural form, but I have no set vision for this work; I just enjoy the process of seeing my textiles take 3-dimensional shape. I am in my mid-20s and would prefer working with someone who is close in age to me. If you work in wood or metals and are interested in seeing textiles combined into your work, please reach out by sending me your portfolio or images of your work! I can send mine as well. We can discuss the details further if there is mutual interest in working with each other.
