Somewhat new band is seeking a talented, versatile female lead singer for our eclectic, songwriting-oriented recording and performing project. We're 3 GenX / millennial guys crafting subtle, engaging, sometimes complex music but with a distinct pop and strong melodic sensibility (verses, chorus, bridges, etc). The sound exists somewhere in the intersections of pop, progressive, ambient, shoegaze, post-punk, and other alternative/underground domains. However, we also hearken back to the traditional 60s/70s in terms of our songwriting approach, arrangements, dynamics, and instrumentation. We're not above putting a glockenspiel in there when necessary. We're extremely open-minded and enjoy and are inspired by many styles of music. If this resonates with your tastes and you believe your singing style might be apropos - if Portishead, This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Joni Mitchell, Beatles, Curve, Slowdive, Paramore, Larkin Poe, Kate Bush, etc, and the idea of orchestration and string sections seem interesting to you, feel free to contact. Also, please let us know your comfort zone when it comes to music theory, terms, etc.
