Bavgruppe Designs is an auto parts company located in Middle Village, Queens, NY 11379. We deal in sales of original and aftermarket parts with an emphasis on headlight/tailights (building of parts, parts assembly, modification, associated work). We have been in business since 2010. The job we are posting calls for a 20+ hour work week. We are looking for a proactive self-starter who is dependable, hardworking, and organized -- who will be responsible for assembly/dissasembly and modification of headlights for customer order fulfillments. The right person will be highly critical of their own work, pay attention to fabrication detail and work with minimal supervision once directions have been given. The tech will also fabricate led rings, box and label items, and assist with shop organization, among other things. Fabriation experience in shop work or a specialty related trade and dependability are preferred. Core hours will be 830M – 430PM, Monday through Wednesday, 7 hours per day plus lunch. The shop is located in Middle Village, Queens 11379. Pay starts at $19 an hour. The specifics include: • Tech/Artisan Work - opening different brands of headlights cleanly, and carefully, and modifying of headlights to accept led rings/strips, etc. Includes painting of headlights and re-sealing • LED Ring and LED Carbon Fiber Eyebrow fabrication • Headlight lens swap - entails cutting open headlights, and removing old lenses, cleaning of channel, installation of new lens, replacement of old wiring as needed. • Organizing and unboxing of new products/materials • Organizing and routing orders according to business need/priority • Ensuring all orders are completed in a timely fashion • Assembling misc parts • Using a Dremel to shave PCB boards/gel to enable parts to fit correctly into plastic lenses • Gluing parts neatly and cleanly • Using shop equipment to ensure LED rings and other products are operating within correct voltage specifications • Perform quality assurance checks • Wiring of receivers/controllers for use with LED components • Soldering of parts as needed • Perform independent tasks based upon general direction Requirements: • Excellent independent problem solving skills • Excels at manual tasks • Able to adapt to methodical processes • Meticulous and organized • Strong work ethic and solution minded • Excellence oriented • Present professionally (phsically and in your communication) Preferred skills: • Prior experience in automotive shops • Prior fabrication experience Non-Starters: • Frequent lateness • Frequent unannounced/unplanned absenteeism To apply, please respond to this ad via email and include your work history and/or resume. Position Purpose: The Egg Collective Builder is a skilled individual proficient in fine woodworking with 3 - 5+ years experience. This individual exhibits a thorough understanding of wood science and fine woodworking techniques, is self-motivated and enjoys working as part of a respectful and collaborative team. We’re looking for a candidate who is intentional, focused, engaged and curious. Essential Functions: • Multi-task, prioritize deadlines with simultaneous work assignments in a goal-oriented, collaborative environment. • Construct pieces from start to finish autonomously at times and collaboratively at times. • Build with consistency, maintain/improve speed and accuracy from project to project. • Learn and adapt to new methods and techniques. • Devise and build jigs as necessary to find efficiencies within the build. • Mill and prepare lumber/sheet goods utilizing saws, jointers, planers and sanding machinery. • Join, construct, and glue-up furniture according to shop drawings. • Sand and prep work for finishing when necessary. • With a keen eye for detail, ensure every product meets EC’s exacting standards. • Work within production timelines/ goals, keep an accurate account of hours through Harvest Time app. • Utilize and maintain hand tools and operate machinery in accordance with safety standards for self and team at all times. • Self assess and make adjustments as necessary to address or correct fabrication hurdles in order to maintain EC’s quality standards. • Work with other team members to expedite the production schedule. • Skill share and provide practical training with other team members whenever helpful or necessary. • Provide feedback within a team setting to continually improve processes. • Willingness to take direction and follow standard operating procedures. • Assist with lumber deliveries and basic machine maintenance. • Take ownership of general upkeep of the premises and participate in team upkeep efforts. • Assist with and grow skillsets in other areas of EC production as needed (finishing, final assembly, and material management) with the goal of being a cross departmental team member.
